TRENDnet 200 Mbps Powerline AV Adapter Kit TPL-303E2K (White) Reviews
I bought this pair to work with Actiontec 200 Mpbs powerline adapters, and the two brands are totally compatible. Note: I did not install the TRENDnet utility software. Simply plug one into a router and wall socket, and put the other unit(s) where you need them.br /br /Comments about the LEDs: br /Since I already had an Actiontec adapter connected to my router, I figured I could test the TRENDnet adapter the same way I had tested the Actiontec units right out of the box. That is, I assumed I could plug them in and all the LEDs would light. However, when I plugged each TRENDnet unit into a wall socket to test it, the power indicator flashed on and off, and its other 2 LEDs stayed off. The good news is: As soon as I connected the TRENDnet unit to a computer and turned the computer on, all the TRENDnet LEDs lit up and my computer got an excellent internet connection. When I turned the computer off, the TRENDnet power light went back to flashing and its other LEDs went dark. I assume this is the standby mode, but I haven't found the description in the manual. When I plugged a TRENDnet unit into the router and wall socket, all the LEDs lit up like the manual said they should.br /br /

More reliable home network - Han -
There is no wired internet connection in my bedroom and wireless connection frequently drops. Maybe I can go with a better wireless router, but a wired connection should be more reliable. The kit works great and setup is really straightforward. I no longer worry about connection interruption. I did not run any test to find out its exact performance. For my daily online activities, including online video, it is sufficient. This adapter does have the problem mentioned in other reviews that it blocks the other jack of the wall outlet.
The home network nightmare ends - Divakar Rajashekaran - VA USA
Bought it at amazon a week ago got it in time as stated, as usual good packaging. Took it to home and plugged it into two wall outlets and used the cat 5e to connect to fioz router and on the other end to a Trendnet TEW 633GR gigabit switch wireless N router. My desktop/HTPC, PS3 are both connected to the Gigabit port. This thing works like charm, I had a wireless n adapter for my desktop which used to suffer really bad buffering issues on certain sites seems to stream without any issue. And also My PS3 downloads were getting faster as well. So glad it worked as expected, now my test is to see DLNA streaming from desktop to my other laptop to see recorded program. I tested the throughput at different distances from each other this is what I observed.br /br / 5 meters - 133 Mbpsbr /5-10 meters - 100 mbpsbr /11-50 - 63 Mbpsbr /br /Currently it's set at the 5-10 meter range and I am loving the steady throughput I am getting. I didn't encounter any issues technically with this and I am really happy with this purchase for .
