Panasonic BL-PA100A HD-PLC Ethernet Adaptor

I was a little sceptical when purchasing. So many choices at a wide variety of prices. I purchased this because I had recently bought a HAVA unit to tap into my Direct TV and watch through the internet while traveling, I didn't know the HAVA needed to be wired between your router and the satellite box (usually your TV and computer aren't within arms reach of each other). I was pleased to find that two Adaptors were included in the package and hooked one to my router and the other upstairs to my satellite box. Works brilliantly! I would highly recommend this device for anyone that has equipment where wireless is not an option.

Panasonic BL-Pa100A - Richard A. Weir -
It works perfectly, with no detectable speed loss. I am entirely satisfied. I gave 4 stars instead of 5, because the instructions weren't entirely correct. They stated to only plug into a wall outlet, not a power strip, I got it working using either. The other items plugged into the same outlet/power strip are what can cause the 2 adapters not to sync.

Netgear XE102GNA Wall-Plugged Enet Exte

Netgear XE102GNA Wall-Plugged Enet Exte Reviews

I recently moved and had to start from scratch with my home Ethernet. Running an ethernet cable from the first floor to the second turned out not to be an option (think cinder block walls). My son-in-law mentioned products that extend your network via the home electrical wiring. I purchased the Netgear XE102GNA Wall-Plugged Enet Extender with some trepidation, as I am not familiar with this technology.br /br /From the time I opened the package to the time I had an ethernet connection to my second floor Mac was about two minutes, most of which was spent walking from the ground floor to the second floor. The extenders come in pairs. I cabled the first one into my router and plugged it into a wall power outlet on the first floor. Walked upstairs, cabled the second one to my Mac ethernet port and plugged that one into the wall. Voila! Done! No S/W setup, no configuration, nothing. A great no muss, no fuss solution.

Netgear XE102GNA Wall-Plugged Enet Exte Feature

  • Wall-plugged ethernet extender kit lets you easily extend your network via electric power lines in your home
  • Delivers up to 14 Mbps wired speed
  • Three easy-to-read icon LEDs for quick status information at a glance
  • True plug and play simplicity
  • Device measures 3.92 x 1.84 x 2.88 inches (WxHxD)

Plaster Networks AV200 Powerline Ethernet Adapter

Plaster Networks AV200 Powerline Ethernet Adapter Reviews

I had some technical issues at first, but the customer support from Plaster was great and we finally figured out that the problem getting this technology to work was on my end, not their's. Ultimately worked out great and is still working great today. I now have network access over the power lines to an out-building. Sure is a whole lot easier to deal with than trying to run cables or figure out how to get a strong wireless signal out there!! Kudos to Plaster.

Plaster Networks AV200 Powerline Ethernet Adapter Feature

  • Broadband networking over existing electrical wiring based on HomePlug AV with up to 200Mbps PHY rate.
  • Alternative to WiFi for reliably connecting any Ethernet-capable device.
  • Convenient way to connect your game console, DVR, computer, or other device to the Internet through your DSL or Cable modem.
  • Combine with Plaster Networks PLN3 Powerline AV Ethernet Adapter for intelligent powerline networking, improved performance and reliability.
